Aim : To give students a basic understanding of the product cycle, hardware and software environment of Computer Aided Design/ Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and necessary tools and techniques of CAD/CAM so that they will be able to design a total
manufacturing solution for a given product and/or enhance the performance of a
manufacturing entity.

This course provides an overview of what is Industrial Engineering and Decision Sciences are for the engineering undergraduates. This course has a strong link with the two elective courses offered by the Department of Engineering Mathematics on Operations Research and Optimization. The main purpose of this course is to provide essential knowledge areas required to optimize and facilitate decision making in the areas of Industrial Engineering and Engineers as Managers while they serve in the industry.
This year, we are planning to use some of the software applications and tools as a new move to uplift the student's knowledge and skills on computations and decision making.
